Hi, I’m Kate!

I’m a mama of two who chose to leave the corporate world after my second baby’s arrival to pursue my dream of running my own small business. I wanted the freedom to explore my creativity while including my kids in the journey.

The idea for Harper Grace came to life when my daughter, Harper, was just 18 months old during her first Disney trip. I stumbled upon my mom's vintage Disney belt bag from the '90s and thought it would be adorable to find a mini version for Harper. However, my online search revealed nothing but options for older kids, lacking the stylish aesthetic I envisioned.

Frustrated but determined, I turned to YouTube to teach myself how to sew and scaled down the design to about 60% of the adult size. Our trip was fast approaching and at the time, I was working from home full time while also being a full time mom. With 1,000 daily tasks to do, I quickly realized there was no way this was getting done before we left. Still determined to make it happen, I packed my supplies in my luggage and prayed I could figure it out once we got there. After finally getting Harper to sleep in our Disney hotel room, I began my project at 11:30 PM. Working quietly at a small desk with just my phone's flashlight, I poured my heart into it. By morning, I unveiled the finished product to Harper, who beamed with joy at what "Mama made." The sleepless night, countless mishaps, and painful fingertips from hand sewing were instantly worth it. Shout out to the coffee shop on Main Street in Magic Kingdom for keeping me energized the next day!

Creating tiny themed belt bags became a cherished tradition for our future trips. Since then, I’ve expanded to offer multiple sizes, allowing moms and kids―or the whole family―to have matching bags.

Excited to see where this journey takes me and I hope you come along for the ride!

Cheers!

Xx Kate
